Jenny and James

For 10 years I worked as the Events Manager for the largest off-Broadway complex in NYC.  I planned everything from intimate dinner parties, to 500 person corporate events, to Broadway openings for over 2,000 people.  But when it came to my own wedding I was stumped.  How could I ensure our photographer knew who to shoot, direct the caterers where to go, set up the flowers, ensure every guest felt welcomed, and make it down the aisle to enjoy my big day all at the same time?   Thankfully, I had Amelia Davis.  A few months prior to our big day my fiance and I sat down with Amelia.  We explained our vision and my concern of wanting to enjoy my big day, but being nervous to "let go of the reins."  Amelia listened calmly, taking copious notes, and then she began to talk.  She clarified details, advised us on our process, and walked us through every step of our wedding from rehearsal dinner to post-wedding brunch.  At the end of our session together, I knew I was in exceptional hands.

The day of the wedding, Amelia's well executed planning paid off. Everything went completely seamlessly.  Even the tiniest hiccup - like losing Aunt Mary during photographs - was met by Amelia's calm, collected, professionalism.  She would think of things before I did and she did it all with the most brilliant smile on her face.  As an experienced Events Planner, I have very high standards and Amelia was quite literally a godsend.  I cannot recommend her and her services highly enough nor can I say I have ever met a lovelier, more caring person.  You only marry your dream partner once.  Be sure you take the time and enjoy your day together.  And if you take no other wedding advice: Book Amelia!

Bettina and Chris

I was very wary of the idea of hiring a wedding planner because I knew I didn't want anyone who would try to impose their own vision of what a wedding should be on my own wedding.  But I knew that the DIYing would have to stop somewhere and that I wanted to be as relaxed as possible and enjoy the actual day.  Enter Amelia Davis as the Day-Of Coordinator.  Amelia was fantastic, a real pro.  She really listened to what I wanted and we couldn't have pulled it off without her.  We didn't have a lot of traditional vendors; my aunt was our florist, instead of a wedding cake we had a wide variety of baked goods made by many different friends and relatives, and we purchased all the alcohol ourselves.  Amelia managed to pull together all these loose strands and made sure that everything got to the venue when it needed to be there.  She effortlessly coordinated with the DJ, the photographer, the venue management (even sticking around for extra time after our rehearsal because the venue manager forgot to come unlock their storage area for us).  We could not have been better taken care of and, as a result, our wedding was a truly joyous occasion.

Katie and Danny

Amelia made my wedding day feel absolutely effortless! She took care of all the small and somewhat large disasters that came up - missing rings, another weddings vendor setting up in our room. She did all of this with absolute calm and all the while never letting me know, so I could enjoy the day. She was an absolutely amazing coordinator that took care of so many things that I hadn't even realized I forgot and she did it with the ease of a professional. She is an amazing coordinator that I would enthusiastically recommend to any other bride for her special day!
